These are Gouramis, I bought them last week. I named them as polo and figo (the first two snaps are of polo, the last but one is figo). In the last snap you can see them in their original colors. They get along together very well, Polo is male and Figo is female.
These are 'Queen of Night' flower buds, they bloomed yesterday night at my place. Last time I updated snaps of its fully bloomed flower. Click here to check them.
Last summer some how this unwanted visitor visited my home, but I found this insect beautiful. I captured its beauty in my camera instantly, it was very friendly. But this poor thing didn't last for long, it got slashed to death by our table fan.
Selenicereus grandiflorus is a cactus species. This is known as Brahma Kamalam in Telugu.
I first heard about this plant from my mother. I was very fascinated about this flower because this blooms one night a year or several years and withers within hours. I've seen this flower in pics, but never saw it in real. In my new apartment, owner left this plant's pot. But the plant was almost to end. I started pouring water and taking care of it. On June 7th this flower blossomed in my apartment. I was so excited on that day as I dreamed of seeing this flower in real. My mom was happy as well, coz she is the one who inspired me to take complete care towards this plant.
More buds are on coming up, means more flowers on the way, which in turn means more snaps in future.
This is my first entry for Texture Twist photography challenge. I somehow got fascinated for textures, I was working on Bokeh textures for last one month. I was never satisfied with the outcome until this one happened. I downloaded many textures this morning from Ruby blossom Flickr link. Though this is not a fantastic pic, but I felt a sense of satisfaction and passion to improve on this style.
